about the studio

Welcome to our newly refurbished, beautiful, studio at 125 St Margarets Road, right next to St Margaret’s station and a short distance from both Richmond and Twickenham. We've an entrance next to Streets, the florist and greengrocer, although if you're armed with a buggy, for your convenience we've got another entrance at the rear, just off Broadway Avenue.

Our clients are the masters of making the seconds count.

We’ve been impressed at how our members juggle their time to exercise. Many of them stretch those seconds by picking us because we’re close to where they live or work. The timetable matters. Booking the class they want matters. We ensure that our timetable really does the job well for you.

Fit Together:- Our members share our preference to exercise with a small group of people that make the workout more enjoyable. Which is why ‘fit together’ describes our approach to sociable fitness.

We’ve arranged our classes to combine variety and effectiveness, with enough places on each to provide a proper coached class. That way you’ll be sure that your technique is getting you the best results.

OUR COACHED CLASSES

STRIKE

Build strength, agility and fitness with our signature mix of kickboxing rounds and powerplate. Up-tempo fun and non-stop. Upper, lower and full body options.

RIDE

Challenge your cardiovascular fitness on indoor cycle classes - zone or freestyle. Fun, fast and challenging.

FORM

Work on your movement foundation by targeting deep core muscles, while rebalancing and de-stressing. Yoga, pilates, core conditioning and barre.

FUNCTION

Classes that use specific equipment or focus on specific results to keep your workouts varied and enjoyable. Use your whole body in HIIT, circuits, TRX, kettlebells and combo.

FAMILY

Family Fitness Classes designed around you and your little ones. Baby Friendly Classes where you can bring your little one along to watch you get fit.

We're inspired to make it easy for you to enjoy the process of getting fit with other likeminded people. Our studios are a friendly place to make the most of your time exercising. Arianna Billines

STUDIO MANAGER

Arianna joined Movers and Shapers after spending 2 years in Saudi Arabia working for the country’s leading Women’s only gym inspiring women to get active and stay active. Arianna’s passion for Sport and Fitness led her to completing a degree in Sport Management where her career progressed to facility management and sports development for local councils in London. Her favourite classes include Indoor Cycling and Boxfit.

Lotta
Lotta

Lotta joined us in December 2015 having been trained by the Fitness Academy of Finland. She's got a wealth of interests aside from fitness including classical ballet, fictional prose writing and bikini fitness modelling. With her partner, artist Vesa Kivinen, Lotta's also active on the contemporary arts scene.

Maria Franzen

Maria is a Level 3 Personal Trainer originally from Sweden with a real passion for health and fitness.

She transformed herself from a size 18 unfit and unhealthy junk food and sugar addict to a size 8 fit and healthy Personal Trainer, knowing what a positive impact this transformation made on her own life has made her really passionate about helping others reach their health and fitness goals.

Maria’s interests are Reflexology (she’s a Level 3 qualified Therapist), life coaching, going to concerts and art exhibitions and relaxing with a good book.

Raymond Sooklar
Raymond Sooklar

Ray is an avid sports fan with a background in sports science.  Training in martial arts for 20 years across a multitude of systems including Wing Chun,Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Judo and Western Boxing. Through research and years of training Ray has created his own system of martial arts putting to use all aspects of traditional to modern arts. Combining this with Sports Science, Ray specializes in Sports Conditioning for Martial Arts, Running and Basketball.

Luki
Luki

‘Luki has been with the Movers and Shapers team since Nov 2015, after working in various gyms around and within London for the last 15 years.  He specialises in core based functional movements combining and bringing Pilates principles and Yoga Philosophies in everything he does and teach.

Luki is a keen road cyclist and obviously loves Revolution Cycle and Zone cycle, but also his biggest passion now, after many years on TRX, is Pilates and Yoga.

‘Train hard and enjoy the journey, tummy in and tailbone under, keep shoulders soft’

Adam

Adam has been with Movers & Shapers since it opened in St Margarets. A previous National Triathlon Champion, Adam now splits his time between acting in film, TV and theatre and teaching at the studio. His favourite classes are 'Revolution Cycle' & 'HIIT'.

Hannah

Hannah has been a Level 3 qualified Personal Trainer for the last 2 years. Her passion for sport and fitness started when she was at school after competing regularly on the athletics and gymnastics teams. Since leaving school she has been coaching sports and fitness classes in some of her local Primary Schools. 

This led her to Twickenham where she studied at St Mary's University graduating with a degree in Sports Science and Psychology. From here she started a career in teaching fitness classes and 1-2-1 Personal Training. Hannah's favourite classes include Boxfit and Hiit.

Fabulous! I never thought I'd stop doing my outdoor workouts and head back indoors to workout, but you seem to have me hooked! I couldn't be happier with Movers & Shapers, just what Balham needed.
